Originally from New England, Shane has lived all over the world and engaged in all kinds of adventures. His passion is to engage in people and their lives and give and receive great stories. An enthusiastic climber, Shane lived and worked in Yosemite National Park and was inspired by scaling such famous cliffs as El Cap, Washington Column, and Leaning Tower.
Over the past ten years, Shane has focused on writing and film as a vehicle to share adventures and stories with as many people as possible. His film, The Big Stone, won the ‘audience choice award’ at the Sydney Underground Film Festival.
Jamie Renee Williams
Jamie liked rocks so much, she studied archaeology in undergrad, though promptly came to her senses when she realized filmmaking was more lively. Afraid of heights, she absolutely doesn’t climb ladders and prefers to leave that to Shane.
She works as a director and producer in Los Angeles where she received her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts (School of Film/ Video). Her work has screened at festivals and venues including the REDCAT and the Palm Springs International ShortFest and has also been broadcast on PBS. Prior to Upstate Boys, she worked in production for SXM and Rabbit Bandini Productions.
Director of Photography
The intersection of art and technology is Christian's sweet spot. He has a knack for making us see everyday things in new ways.
Christian currently works as a Director of Photography on several web programs for HGTV. Prior to Upstate Boys, he has shot, written, directed, and produced various commercials and short films.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Christian now lives in Los Angeles.
An Upstate boy himself, Jeff is originally from Glens Falls, NY. After serving in the U.S. Marines, he now lives in Yuma, Arizona where he owns a photography business, specializing in portraits and commercial photography. He has a unique ability to capture stunning moments on the fly using only available light. An accomplished photographer, Upstate Boys is his first film project.
Jeff enjoys rock climbing, bacon and Fireball Whiskey.
For Upstate Boys, Joyce makes sure things happen when they're supposed to happen and that the crew occasionally eats and sleeps. She has previously produced and starred in an independent, feature-length, horror-comedy movie titled Violent Night, released in 2012.
Joyce currently works as a writer, marketer and producer in Los Angeles.
